This is the perfect material for creating a casino-style gaming surface (also known as Flocking), upholstery, costumes, and even some clothing. The top side has a short, uniform pile, and the backing is a ribbed polyester which will grip to prevent slide. Its pelted cotton thread count assure long lasting wear, is nap-free and will not pill or fluff. For permanent fixture (say to a card table) you can glue it down.
You might also want to consider the more luxurious ultra-soft
version or something more fun with the wave version.

Machine wash warm, tumble dry on low heat. Remove promptly from dryer. Iron on reverse side medium-high heat using pressure and pulling taut to release wrinkles.
