There is a 1-3 Business day handling period. We currently ship primarily by using USPS, FEDEX, and DHL. International orders are welcome.
Ground Shipping Commercial Ground (non-residential): Delivery averages anywhere between 3-7 business days, based on ship to address. Most economically priced. Residential Ground: Identical delivery time to Commercial, sometimes slightly higher priced. *Please note that you must distinguish your address at checkout with one of these options to trigger the different price bracket. Check the box if you're shipping destination is Residential or leave it blank if it's Commercial (non-residential). Express Shipping - 3 Day Select: Delivery in 1-4 business days, usually double the price of Ground. Fast - 2 Day Express: Delivery in 1-3 business days, savings of 10-15% compared to Overnight. After you've confirmed your order, our system automatically assigns a status setting to it: ready to ship, waiting, incomplete and swatches. The system uses our real-time inventory tracking system to locate the most appropriate inventory to use for all items in the order, and directs our staff to the exact location where the inventory can be found. All inventory is tagged with a unique ID, which allows the order filler to ensure they are getting the exact item they are looking for. When an order is ready for shipment, our fulfillment staff clicks "Ship" which takes the user to a fulfillment page where the weight of the package is automatically computed and combined with all the other order information to be fed into our fully integrated FedEx shipping label generator. Upon clicking "Create FedEx Label", the inventory is marked as used, the order marked as shipped, an email is dispatched to you (please be sure to check your junk/spam filter) with the FedEx tracking number and a FedEx label is printed. All of this happens within a matter of seconds. Using this process and other parts of the software in our fulfillment toolchain, we are able to keep up with a large order volume (even during the busy holiday season) with a surprisingly minimal staff.
Your order can be tracked at any time by either logging into your account here if you have one, clicking on the tracking number in our confirmation email (sent to you automatically when your order shipped) or logging onto the shipping agent's website for your order, here. If you haven't yet received your order and believe it has been lost contact us. We will begin a trace on it with the shipping agent. If they have not found the package within 24-hrs we will file a claim. The claim process takes approximately 10-days to complete. Once the shipping agent has determined the lost package is their fault (i.e. left at the wrong location or was missing from were they left it and can not be recovered and/or delivered), we will refund or reship the order, as per your instructions. *We will not reship or refund any order until the shipping agent has completed their claim investigation. Also, packages that are reported as missing but didn't require a signature may not be refunded by the shipping agent. DF will hold to the shipping agent's resolution and only refund when the shipping agent does. Signature Service Requested must be entered in the order comments section to require this service. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. If you're swatch order is overdue, please contact us to confirm the shipping address and we will reship the order. Orders will not be reshipped until the address is confirmed. If your shipping was free and you'd like to receive a refund on the swatches, let us know. Otherwise, we will have to follow the same procedures as from above.
Generally most orders received before 12pm PST that are in stock will ship the same day. We will notify you if an item designated for Overnight Express shipping cannot be shipped the same day. Express shipments are picked up between 2:30 - 3:30pm, Ground shipments between 4:00 - 5:00pm.
Shipping types can also be downgraded and upgraded as needed and will either result in a refund (credit) or additional, manual charge to your credit, debit card or PayPal account. Customers who wish to edit their shipping types must contact us to arrange for additional payment to upgrade their shipping as we do not have the ability to just add it on to the original transaction.
Swatch orders are shipped for free via the United States Postal Service, unless you require faster shipping in which case you can select from one our express shipping options above. Swatch orders are generally shipped within 2-3 days of your order completion (add a day or two for weekend orders or any USPS order over 10 samples)

Customers with their own shipping account can charge shipping to it by entering in their account number in the space provided at the bottom of Step 2. of the checkout process. Please note: UPS option for this is not yet available.
